I reached out to Nash in search of a lighter, more compact shelter for wintertime fishing. As an avid brolly angler looking to keep my gear as lightweight as possible, I have been utilizing the same 50in open-fronted brolly throughout all 12 months. Although I wanted something with more space and warmth for colder, gloomier days, the T1 Titan seemed a bit too much when they proposed it – being larger than my brolly and heavier. Yet despite these disadvantages, I decided to give it a shot in order to review its features before returning it… but here we are nearly two years later and that same tent still proudly stands as part of my kit! After spending countless hours shivering under an umbrella, the expanded size of the Titan with its front and inner capsule provided me with a level of comfort I had never known before. This was especially evident in wintertime when these additional amenities enabled me to switch what could have been an unbearable ordeal into something much more pleasant! The inner capsule is fully equipped with a total vapour shelf, mesh door and a resilient groundsheet to efficiently evaporate internal moisture – something that can be extremely unpleasant during cool weather. As the temperatures begin to drop in winter months, I tend to keep this setup intact but as soon as it starts getting warmer again, I take down all of its components.
